Glucose sensing on graphite screen-printed electrode modified by sparking of copper nickel alloys

The article discusses the modification of screen-printed graphite electrodes with copper nickel alloy by spark discharge used as non-enzymatic glucose sensor. Fast and facile method of mixed nanoparticles preparation is described. Electrode surface is characterised by SEM, EDS, EDX and XPS. The kinetics of the surface redox processes is described. Conditions during analysis were optimized. The developed sensor was successfully used for the glucose sensing in blood serum sample.
