Planned construction of the Regional Centre of Advanced Technologies and Materials
The project “Regional Centre of Advanced Technologies and Materials” is considered to be a part of the process of complete finishing of the Palacky University campus in Olomouc, the Holice city district, as regards the acquirement of the new construction infrastructure. This project is named “Centre of Science and Education of the Faculty of Science of Palacky University in Olomouc, the Holice city district” and the above mentioned centre is designed as a separate building. The scope of this construction will include the implementation of new construction of the main facility and all secondary facilities of the technical background designed purely for research purposes in physics and chemistry with the orientation towards development, characterization and application of new advanced materials and technologies, including nanomaterials and nanotechnologies. A complex design of all utility services has been designed for the Centre, including all connections, i.e., a network of roads, pathways, parking sites and landscaping as new technical facilities connected to the public technical and transport infrastructure network or the existing networks of the premises (campus), without the need for reconstruction of the existing distribution systems within the premises.
The investment unit consists of the preparation of the area and removing the existing prefabricated garages, building the new structure of the facility, the respective parts of the transport and technical infrastructure related to the new structures (carriageways, parking sites, paved areas, water connections, sewer and condensation connections, exterior lighting, low-current lines, external technical gas line), relaying utility water mains and landscaping. The investment unit also includes the operation sets of technical gas distribution systems in the facility and the technological equipment of laboratories and other rooms related with research.
The whole construction will be implemented separately as a whole, only with relation to the project of the Centre of the Region Haná for Biotechnological and Agricultural Research, which is also a part of the process of planned complete finishing of the Centre of Science and Education in the Faculty of Science of Palacky University in the Holice city district.
