Nový přehledový článek o kapilární elektroforéze mikroorganismů
Researchers of RCPTM recently published a review paper in Trends in Analytical Chemistry, a prestigious journal in the analytical chemistry branch (IF2010 is 6.602). The paper is focused on the use of capillary electrophoresis in the analysis of microorganisms (J. Petr and V. Maier: Analysis of microorganisms by capillary electrophoresis, Trends Anal. Chem. 2012, 31, 9 –22; http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/…).
It looks at the origin of microbial surface charge and then it describes key points in the analysis of microbes by capillary zone electrophoresis and capillary isoelectric focusing (first approaches, using poly(ethyleneoxide), covalent modification of the inner capillary wall, reversed electroosmotic flow, advances in detection, and on-line preconcentration of microbes). The paper is also important to the field of analysis of nanoobjects (e.g. nanoparticles) by capillary electrophoresis since nanoobjects have the similar electrophoretic behavior as microorganisms.
