Information regarding the UP student who tested positive for the presence of coronavirus
On 22 March, a Korean exchange student who attended the Palacký University Olomouc Faculty of Science tested positive for the coronavirus at the airport in South Korea.
The Olomouc Regional Health Authority was informed of this fact; as well as his roommates, who are now in quarantine and will be tested.
UP is currently adopting the recommendation that all foreign students studying at UP in the Erasmus exchange programme to return home. The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, due to the specifics of its study programme, is in discussions to decide on the details on rules for its foreign students.
UP Accommodation Facilities is offering individual accommodation to students who remain in Olomouc, in order to allow them to limit social contact at this essential time.
