ToF detektor pro CERN-ATLAS

The CERN-ATLAS group of RCPTM has significantly advanced the design of the future time-of-flight (ToF) detector planned as a part of the ATLAS Forward Proton project (AFP). The design of the optical part of the ToF detector has recently been published in one of the top optical journals [Opt. Express 22, 28984 (2014)] and the ToF detector prototype has been successfully tested at CERN test beam in November 2014. The inclusion of the AFP detector into the LHC ATLAS facility is expected at the end of 2015. Until then, further improvements of its ToF part are expected.
