Dr. Aristeidis Bakandritsos (ORCID 0000-0003-4411-9348, 🎓 Google Scholar) is a group leader and senior researcher at CATRIN-RCPTM, Palacký University Olomouc and at VSB-TUO, CEET, MELab in Ostrava, Czech Republic. He received his Ph.D. in 2006 in chemistry from the NKUA & N.C.S.R. “Demokritos” in Athens, Greece. He has more than 170 peer-reviewed publications, h-index 45, and > 8000 citations (Scopus). His research interests involve the development of functional nanomaterials and their application mainly in energy storage, and catalysis, as well as environment and biomedicine.
He supervised research projects leading to top-rated publications in journals like Nat. Nanotech., Nat. Commun., Adv. Mater., Adv. Energy Mater., Energy Env. Sci. and others. He is the coordinator or supervisor of several HORIZON, MSCA and national grants.
