Cooperation in the area of the study of archaeological findings

Department of Analytical Chemistry, FS UP and Archaeological Centre in Olomouc signed a framework contract related to cooperation in the area of the study of archaeological findings. Department of Analytical Chemistry will deal with chemical analysis of those findings. The detection of the presence of organic resudies in found vessels and determination of their origin are the main tasks of our department. Modern instrumental techniques, first of all mass spectrometry witho MALDI a ESI ionization, combination of liquid and gas chromatography with mass spectrometry and infrared spectrometry and advanced statistical data treatment based on multivariate statistics, will be used for that purpose.
